Came across this woman the other day who has the most exquisitely creepy face I've seen. It was wonderful. 

i am not a tree,

but a mere thorn bush, ripped apart by an unruly wind angered by my unwillingness to give in and bloom into a bed of purple roses in the middle of a summery day.

so i climbed a hill near my house the other day. and it was quite spectacular.

The only way.

so i guess one could say it's kind of funny how the only two blog posts here since i got to ooty are back home in bombay, but the truth is, as beautiful a place as ooty is, "photography school" is the death of all inspiration. and while i am constantly shooting everydayallthetime and learning amazing things about everything it never fails to depress me, that i seem to have only gotten suckier in this past one year. yes i said suckier. 21 year olds can suffer from pangs of teenage angst too, okay? 

anyhoo. before this gets too ranty. a couple of pictures i shot on a train ride in bombay. quite liked how a couple turned out. 

so.

sometimes we lose ourselves in the shadows of our own reflections and when the time comes to make things count, we tend to forget that we are neither our shadows nor our reflections but merely slaves to the fancies of our whimsical minds.

So.

A project that I've been working on for a loooong time is FINALLY here!

I've been toying with the idea of experimenting with video for a while now, so when a friend of mine asked me to help out with his band's YouTube channel, the timing seemed perfect. The basic idea was to put together a series of acoustic/semi-acoustic renditions of their songs with unique videos that (try to) capture the feel or the essence of each individual songs while still sticking to the format of doing one-shot videos with live audio recording to give the entire thing a less "produced" and more home-video feel overall. 

Working with video was quite challenging for me, considering I've only ever worked with stills and it's taking a while for me to get used to "seeing things differently", not to mention I have a computer that takes hours to render shit so post-work has been driving me CRAZY. But all in all, it's been a great experience so far. :D
